George Vineyard is located in the Sonoma Valley between Kenwood and Santa Rosa along a mountainside east of Sonoma Highway. Initial planting occurred in 1998 and 1999 with much difficulty caused by steep inclines reaching up to 38 degrees and an abundance of stone.
Subsequent vineyard sections have been planted including cabernet sauvignon, syrah, petite syrah and riesling. George vineyard grapes are richly concentrated and balanced with bright acidity. The unique abundance of stone in the soil composition leaves a clean and mineral finish noted in our wines.
